GPS IIF Signing
The U.S. Air Force and Boeing reached a landmark milestone with the formal government acceptance of the first GPS IIF satellite, April 22. The team is now performing final integrated processing in preparation to launch on a United Launch Alliance Delta IV rocket in May. Along with improved accuracy and an additional navigation signal, the GPS IIF generation of satellites continues the legacy as the world's gold standard for global Positioning, Navigation, and Timing services. Pictured from Left to right are Lt. Col. Shawn Brennan, Allison Flanagan, Ken Torok, Col. Dave Madden, Col. Chris Warack, John Peterson and Rita Lollock. (GPSW Courtesy Photo)
