Evan Tanna, Earharts employee at the Club at Los Angeles Air Force Base, prepares a special Navaho taco meal during the lunchtime service, Nov. 23. The Club joined in to help celebrate the Native American Indian and Alaska Native Heritage Month. Los Angeles AFB, along with The Aerospace Corporation, held events to bring awareness to the many contributions by the Native Americans throughout history. Activities included Indian arts, crafts and books display, a talk about growing up on a reservation by one of SMC’s personnel, base-wide slide presentation of notable American Indians, a visit by a Kiowa Tribe Indian to the Child Development Center and a seminar on ancestry.
