The 2007 Hispanic Heritage Month celebration will be held on the Paulikas Mall Thursday, Oct. 18, beginning at 11 a.m. All Aerospace employees and SMC personnel are welcome to attend the multicultural event. Co-hosted by the Aerospace and Los Angeles Air Force Base Hispanic-American groups, the celebration will include an array of entertainment ranging from local talent to performers representing Latin countries all over the world.

Guest speaker will be Belinda Guadarrama, president and CEO of GC Micro. GC Micro is one of the nation's leading suppliers of computing equipment and services to government agencies, the aerospace industry and Fortune 1000 companies. Guadarrama will be discussing the theme of this year's event, "Hispanic Americans: Making a Positive Impact on American Society."

Featured performers at the celebration will include members of the Otero Dance Company, performing traditional, classic Latin dances including the tango and gaucho. Another returning artist is singer/songwriter Priscilla Luviano, who has performed at previous Hispanic Heritage Month events for the past seven years.

Along with the entertainment, a meal consisting of beef, chicken, or cheese enchiladas; rice; beans; chips and salsa; and drink will be available for $10.
