A Military and Family Life Consultant (MFLC) arrived at Los Angeles AFB on June 16 and is available to help service members, spouses, family members, children and DoD civilians address a variety of issues. MFLCs are licensed clinicians with Masters Degrees and at least five years experience in social work or counseling. They are trained on military specific topics including basic orientation to the deployment cycle, military culture, and the chain of command.

The MFLC is here to help you and your family address:
· Deployment/reintegration issues
· Marriage and relationship issues
· Parenting/sibling & family issues
· Communication challenges
· Stress and anxiety
· Depression
· Grief and loss
· Daily life issues

All consultations are free and your sessions are completely anonymous. After-hours and weekend appointments are available as well as group and off-site meetings.

For questions or to schedule an appointment, call the LAAFB MFLC directly at 310-405-1508.
