In celebration of Independence Day, FVAP is hosting Armed Forces Voters Week from 28 June 28 to 4 July to highlight the importance of requesting your absentee ballot with the Federal Post Card Application (FPCA).

Here are 4 things to remember during Armed Forces Voters Week:

1. Submitting your FPCA early is the best way to help ensure the process goes as smoothly as possible.

2. Using the FPCA gives you an option to receive your blank ballot by email, and states send ballots out 45 days before the election.

3. Using the FPCA allows you to use the Federal Write-In Absentee Ballot (FWAB) as a backup ballot, if needed.

4. Follow-up with your election office to make sure your ballot was received.
