laafb blood drive nov 09
Airman First Class Daniel Bodine, Space and Missile Systems Center’s Comptroller’s Officer, gave his share during the recent blood drive held at the base Fitness Center, Nov. 3. The 2009 Los Angeles Air Force base blood drive was sponsored by the American Red Cross, which visits the base on a quarterly basis. Red Cross volunteer staff collected 85 pints of blood, which can save more than 255 lives. Due to the overwhelming response from walk-ins, in addition to pre-registered donors, the base exceeded the Red Cross’s goal by 112 percent. (Photo by Atiba Copeland)
