Fort Mac Gate Closure Announced Published July 3, 2014 LOS ANGELES AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- The City of Los Angeles will be paving Pacific Ave. between 30th St. and 15th St. on July 5 from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. This will require a complete road closure of Pacific Ave. and the closure of Fort Mac's 24th St. gate. As a result of this project, the 30th St. gate will be open starting July 4 and will be open through the weekend. The 24th street gate will close at midnight on July 5 and will reopen at 6 a.m. on July 7. Personnel traveling to Fort Mac should use Gaffey St. as a detour.
