Important Information and Resources for Those Affected by the SoCal Wildfires

As many of you are aware, the Southern California wildfires have caused widespread impact to our community. Our thoughts are with those who are being affected by this disaster, and we want to remind everyone that we are here to support you during this difficult time.

We have compiled a list of resources for those who may need assistance as a result of the wildfires:

  1. Air Force Aid Society (AFAS): The AFAS is currently tracking the wildfire and can assist with temporary lodging, fuel, and food for eligible Air Force/Space Force members and their families.   2. Employee Assistance Program (EAP): The EAP is available for civilians to help with emotional and psychological needs, as well as financial and legal service assistance for DAF civilian employees during this time. If you or someone you know needs support, please contact the EAP at 866-580-9078
  3. Red Cross Shelters: The American Red Cross has set up shelters for those who have been displaced by the wildfires. To find a shelter near you, please visit https://www.redcross.org/get-help/disaster-relief-and-recovery-services/find-an-open-shelter.html.  Additionally, Red Cross volunteers are providing shelter, snacks, hydration, assistance with pets and other support. Everyone is welcome.
  4. Military One Source: Military One Source is available to support service members and their families who have been affected by the wildfires. They offer a range of services, including financial and legal assistance, as well as counseling and support services.
