KUDOS: Military children experience deployment operations
A couple of young warriors try on protective gear such as gas masks, Kevlar vests and night vision goggles used by the 61st Security Forces Squadron during the annual Kids Understanding Deployment Operations event Oct. 24 held on the Los Angeles Air Force Base parade grounds at Fort MacArthur in San Pedro, Calif. More than 150 military, DoD and contractor’s children and teens experienced first-hand what their military parents experience when deployed. (U.S. Air Force photo/Joseph Juarez, Sr.)
