USC interns interact with SMC and Los Angeles Air Force Base
John Howard, a student intern from the University of Southern California's Adults and Healthy Aging Department assists Tech. Sgt. Johnny Campos from the Space and Missile Systems Center's Chaplain's office with family-based educational literature available at the Airman and Family Readiness Center's Discovery Center at Los Angeles Air Force Base in El Segundo, Calif. A partnership between USC's Masters in Social Work program and SMC will play a critical role in preparing future graduates for contemporary clinical issues in their chosen profession by providing.an understanding of military culture and the commitment that is made by the men and women of the armed forces, as well as the sacrifices of their families.
