GPS Heritage Ceremony
U. S. Air Force Col. William T. Cooley, Director, GPS Directorate hosts the Space and Missile Systems Center 60th Anniversary GPS Heritage Ceremony at Los Angeles Air Force Base in El Segundo, Calif., on August 27, 2014. The ceremony honors the legacy of GPS systems and recognizing individuals and organizations for space achievements that represented critical milestones in space development. During the ceremony, the GPS Directorate was presented the 2014 Space Foundation's Space Achievement Award and recognized the 2014 Navstar GPS Hall of Fame recipient, Maj. Gen. (Ret) Robert A. Rosenberg, for his outstanding and distinguished contributions to GPS. Attendees were also treated to a keynote speaker, Dr. Bradford Parkinson. (U.S. Air Force photo by Sarah Corrice)
