SMC Diversity Day
Page Bates, son of Capt. Lynette Bates, Program Management and Integration, helps give information to observers at the Native American tent at the Space and Missile Systems Center’s first Diversity Day celebration in the Schriever Space Complex courtyard, Aug. 4. The center set aside a major portion of the duty day to observe and acknowledge the cultural variety in its diverse workforce for this first-time event. Displays, personal samples, artifacts, books, educational and informational materials and multi-media from six major continents were showcased. Volunteers were from the local community as well as employees and Airmen from the base. (Photo by James Gordon)
