Base Reduces Landscape Watering to Save Costs Published July 29, 2013 LOS ANGELES AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- As a result of budget cuts, Los Angeles AFB wil reduce the amount of landscape watering on the main base and at Fort MacArthur to save money. Grass, shrubs and trees look may look distressed and in some cases turn brown. The Fort MacArthur housing areas will not be affected by this cutback because the base's privatized housing partner is responsible for the upkeep of those areas.
