Los Angeles Air Force Base -- Here's the latest news of interest to the LAAFB community.
Base-Wide Yard Sale
The base-wide yard sale will be held on the Fort MacArthur Parade Grounds from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., June 2. Here's an opportunity to get rid of surplus household items and give shoppers a chance to pick up some bargains. Military I.D. cardholders and dependents will be selling their unneeded household goods. The sale will be open to anyone with valid photo I.D.s. For further information, contact Amy Toy at email@example.com.
Fitness Assessments Available During May at the Base Fitness Center

Scholarships Available for Family Members
For the eleventh year, Air Force Clubs will provide $25,000 in scholarships that are sponsored in part by Chase Bank and the Coca-Cola Company. Applicants for the six scholarships must have been accepted by or are enrolled in an accredited college or university for the fall term or already be part or full-time students. Student enrollment status may involve either undergraduate or graduate curriculum. Only club members and their family members are eligible to participate. This includes the member's spouse, son, daughter, stepson or stepdaughter. Grandchildren are also eligible if they are dependents of the club member.
