Spouse Club Auction for Education Coming March 7 The Los Angeles Air Force Spouses' Club 12th Annual Auction for Education will be held Friday, March 7 at 6 p.m. at the Fort MacArthur Community Center in San Pedro. The evening will feature a buffet dinner, live entertainment, raffles, and live and silent auctions. Auction items include passes and certificates to area amusement parks, skydiving, local restaurants and stores, home-based businesses and much more. Easter Egg Hunt to be Held March 22 The annual Easter Egg Hunt will be held at Fort MacArthur from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., March 22. In addition to the egg hunt, there will a magic show, petting zoo, activity tent and food court. The Easter Bunny will be making an appearance. Outdoor Recreation Trips Planned Spring is just around the corner but it is still ski season in the Sierras. Outdoor Recreation is offering two ski trips during March. A day trip is being planned to Big Bear on March 15. The $25 cost covers transportation only. A weekend trip to Lake Tahoe is planned, March 28 through 30. The trip costs $160, which includes transportation and accommodations in Reno. Space is limited. Snow boards and ski clothing are available for rent through Outdoor Recreation. Other trips scheduled this month are whale watching on March 9 and rock climbing in Joshua Tree National Park on March 22. Whale watching costs $18 and includes van transportation and boat ride. The climbing trip costs $37 and includes transportation, instruction and climbing gear. For more information or to sign up, call (310) 653-6852. Dodgeball Tournament Coming Sign up now for the Dodgeball Tournament to be held at the Fitness Center, March 19. Play begins at noon. Six- player teams will compete in double elimination play. Register today at the Fitness Center. Ticket Office Offers Deals Tickets for various local attractions and movie theaters are for sale at discounted prices. Discounted weekday lift tickets to Big Bear resort are now on sale. The Ticket Office is located in the cashier's office in The Club (Bldg. 270). Call (310) 653-1304 for more information. Outdoor Recreation is still the place to go to rent equipment and sign up for adventure trips; however, discount tickets are no longer sold at Outdoor Adventures.
