Annual Education Fair Offers Opportunities for Knowledge

LOS ANGELES AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- The recent Education Fair at Los Angeles Air Force Base was host to 38 colleges and universities plus representatives from the Veterans Affairs Office, Troops to Teacher/Spouse to Teacher organization, and a representative from a local high school teacher recruiting office, Aug. 19. More than 200 personnel from the base attended the fair.

The annual Education Fair, sponsored by the base Education Office, is held to give the base personnel and their spouses an opportunity to learn more about higher education and meet with some of the school representatives. The California Community Colleges, California State Colleges, and University of California were represented along with on-base and local private universities and online colleges and universities from all over the United States, including Hawaii, were also represented. The representatives from the schools were very impressed with the base personnel who were truly interested in education.
