Registration is now open for the 2009 GPS Partnership Council,  May 6 and 7. The Global Positioning Systems Wing  and the Los Angeles Chapter of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association will be hosting this year's event at the Space and Missile Systems Center.

This year's theme is "Leading Space-Based Positioning, Navigation and Timing for the Warfighter, the Nation, the World." Attendees will experience a wide range of government and industry views covering user equipment, satellites, applications and related programs. The conference offers GPS stakeholders the opportunity to exchange the latest GPS information, view industry exhibits and capabilities, network, and enhance the overall GPS vision.

The road map of a consistent integrated national plan established by the federal government will be continued by embracing the goals of the National Space-Based Positioning, Navigation and Timing Strategy. GPS has become a significant enabler to this nation and the world. GPSW hopes to continue to look ahead and interact with the industry partners to supply the world with capabilities safeguards everyone. This year's goal is to increase the focus on the international aspects of GPS, with participation from key allied Defense Ministries and Civil Agencies.
