LRSW Teams Reach Major Safety Milestone Published April 9, 2009 By Launch and Range Systems Wing SMC LOS ANGELES AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- The Launch and Range Systems Wing's Spacelift Range Systems Contract (SLRSC) Machine and Sheet Metal teams, located at Patrick Air Force Base, Fla., reached a monumental safety milestone on March 18 - 1,000 days of no lost time due to accidents. Comprised of Depot Shops, ES&H Safety Division, and SLRSC Safety Program personnel, the teams were recognized at a celebration luncheon for having the highest regards for safety in the workplace. The team's dedication, safety skills, and exemplary teamwork were credited in achieving the safety goal. This achievement demonstrates not only professionalism on the job, but a commitment to the standard of excellence towards safety principles and practices while meeting critical mission launch range requirements for the Eastern Range.
