Los Angeles Air Force Base Commissary, with the support of its vendors, donated $1,000 in the form of ten $100 gift certificates toward holiday meals for financially challenged Airmen with families and single Airmen living in the dorms, Nov. 17. Ms Angel Cruz, WEBCO General Partnership sales representative, and Mr. Alfredo Alferez, Los Angeles Commissary store director, presented the gift certificates to Master Sgt. Thomas Martin, 61st Mission Support Group's first sergeant, and Master Sgt. Gary Silvia, 61st Medical Group's first sergeant.

"The commissary is great about providing our young troops help during the holidays," said Col. Theresa Katein, 61st Mission Support Group commander.

The Commissary also donated five turkeys for Thanksgiving and five hams for Christmas for deserving families of Los Angeles AFB.
