LA AFB Exchange celebrates 129 years!

Today, the LA AFB Exchange celebrated 129 years of service with a cake cutting ceremony and prize raffle as well as presented a dividend check to Col. Dermanoski for the bases' MWR programs. Shopping the Exchange strengthens military recruiting, readiness and retention. 100% of Exchange earnings support military communities. In the past 10 years, the Exchange benefit has provided $3.7 billion in earnings that support the military community, including critical military Quality-of-Life programs.

During a formal Change of Command Ceremony, U.S. Space Force Col. Andrew “Andy” Dermanoski took command of Space Base Delta 3 at Los Angeles Air Force Base, El Segundo, California on May 29, 2024. In a symbolic gesture, Garrant passed the command flag to Dermansoki, the new delta commander, pausing for a quick photo. The symbolic passing of the flag dates back to the 18th Century and serves as a public display of the new commander accepting the responsibility of their new position freely. June 2024 Knight of the Month

Tech Sgt. Gary Bonita is the Transportation Manager from the 61st Civil Engineer and Logistics Squadron at LA AFB. The knight of the Month program recognizes outstanding members of individual units each month. Bonita's job is important to the mission at LA AFB as he manages the oversight of the Logistics Contract (TMO, Ground Transportation, and IT Logistics) ensuring everything is abiding by the logistics contract.
