Now, 68 years later, on Dec. 20, 2022, members gathered to celebrate the third anniversary of the United States Space Force – a service that was once a distant dream, yet now a reality.
  • U.S. Space Force and Los Angeles Air Force Base attend 2022 Long Beach Festival of Flight

    On October 29, 2022, the United States Space Force and Los Angeles Air Force Base visited the lesser known Long Beach Airport to engage with the community. Guardians of Space Systems Command and Space Base Delta 3 were in attendance to answer questions about America's newest military branch. Questions ranged from academic opportunities for kids, STEM careers and internships, what it means to be a Guardian, how to work for LAAFB, and how to join the USSF. Did you know that both LAAFB and LGB share history here in Los Angeles County? Interacting with community not only raised awareness about USSF and LAAFB, but it also built upon this shared connection to Los Angeles.

    EL SEGUNDO, Calif. – Twenty-six U.S. Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps cadets from John F. Kennedy High School in Tamuning, Guam, visited Space Systems Command on Wednesday, April 27.
