2014 POW/MIA
The Space and Missile Systems Center at Los Angeles Air Force Base, Calif., held its annual POW/MIA 24 hour Torch Relay, starting with a ceremony at the San Pedro Coast Guard Station, Sept. 18, 2014, where Coast Guard members ran the first leg, followed by LAAFB, then the Army and Navy from the MEPS Center in El Segundo through the South Bay Beach cities, to bring awareness about America’s POW/MIAs. The torch was carried around LAAFB’s track through the night culminating with a wreath laying ceremony at 9 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 19. (Photos by Joe Juarez, Sarah Corrice and Van Ha)
