LOS ANGELES AIR FORCE BASE - EL SEGUNDO, Calif. -- "Warrior of the Week" is part of the SMC Mission of the Month campaign to recognize and spotlight the men, women and team members from the Space and Missile Systems Center's directorates for their efforts on building the future of military space.

Warrior of the Week: Capt. Aurelio "Izzy" Irizarry

Directorate: Global Positioning Systems

Duty Title: Chief, OCX Block 0 Integration & Test

Years in Service: 8 years

Time on Station: 4 years

Hometown: Philadelphia, Pa

Goals: Become a Senior Materiel Leader

Hobbies: Travelling and outdoor activities which include Snowboarding, Volleyball, Golf, & Softball

Greatest achievement: Graduating with a degree in Engineering and following my father's footsteps in the service by becoming an Air Force Officer.
