LOS ANGELES AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- This is no April Fools! SBD3 has a new Knight of the Month for April. Congratulations to our April SBD3 Knight of the Month from the 61st Security Forces Squadron, Officer Khaia Calfee.
Calfee hails from Roanoke, Virginia, where she served as a Detective in the Human Trafficking detail with the Richmond Police Department and the Henrico County, VA Sheriff's Department.
She's been volunteering with the VALEAP Virginia Law Enforcement Assistance Program since 2018, assisting officers with PTSD and other mental health matters which has been a great way to make an difference in the lives of many of her peers outside her day-to-day job.
Fun Fact: She played Division I College Rugby for the University of New Mexico Team (played Inside/Outside Center) and has been an avid recreational motorcycle rider for 10 years!
