SMC Receives Air Force Organizational Excellence Award

Gen. C. Robert Kehler, commander of Air Force Space Command, announced last week that the Space and Missile Systems Center has received the 2007 Air Force Organizational Excellence Award for exceptionally meritorious service. The award covers the period from 1 October 2005 to 30 September 2007. All assigned or attached personnel (including reservists and civilians) who served with SMC for at least one day during this period are authorized to wear the AFOEA ribbon.

For active duty personnel previously assigned to these units during the inclusive dates, present a copy of the AFOEA orders and PCS orders to your servicing MPF for MILPDS update. For Air Force reserve personnel, obtain a copy of the AFOEA orders and forward to the activity which maintains your UPRG for filing and system update. For civilian personnel, your servicing CPF will provide the recognition pin. For civilian personnel previously assigned to SMC during the inclusive dates, present a copy of the AFOEA orders and SF 50 to your servicing CPF for filing and system updates.
