On April 25, the Sexual Assault Prevention and Response (SAPR) office partnered with Equal Opportunity in a collaborated training effort to reach out to over 100 cadets at Air Force ROTC Detachment 040, Loyola Marymount University. Capt. Sherry Souriolle, Sexual Assault Response Coordinator (SARC) and Retired TSgt. Frank Gonzalez provided sexual assault and sexual harassment training to raise awareness and preventive behavior through community education. The briefing consisted of background information on each program, available reporting avenues for sexual assault and sexual harassment, outreach materials, and local referral agencies. In appreciation of the training, the Detachment Commander coined the SARC and EO.

Both offices carry out different roles and responsibilities, but we work as a team to provide quality training in prevention of Sexual Assault and Sexual Harassment. SAPR's goal is to create an empowering climate: one where every Airman is aware of the issues surrounding sexual violence.

DET 040 MISSION: To develop high quality officers and leaders; to be proud of every individual we commission!

SARC is your Wingman! Break the silence: Report Sexual Assault through a 24/7 confidential crisis line: (310) 901-7023.
