Torch Relay, Wreath Laying Ceremony to Mark POW/MIA Day Published Sept. 11, 2008 Global Positioning Systems Wing Los Angeles Air Force Base, Calif. -- In honor of National POW/MIA Recognition Day, a 24-hour torch relay and wreath laying ceremony will be held on Los Angeles Air Force Base. The 24-hour torch relay will take place on the base running track from 9 a.m. on Sept. 18 to 9 a.m. on Sept. 19 A solemn wreath laying ceremony will be held in the Schriever Space Complex courtyard following the relay.
