SMC Industry Days Coming April 6-8

Registration is now open for SMC Industry Days at the Long Beach Marriott, April 6-8. This annual event is an opportunity for industry to learn more about current and future programs at the Air Force's Space and Missile Systems Center. Representatives from more than 50 companies are expected to attend.

This year's theme is "Facing a New Space Reality for the Next Five to Fifteen Years...Cyber, Protection, Budgets, and Architectures." Scheduled speakers include Lt. Gen. Tom Sheridan, SMC commander, Gary Payton, acting under secretary of the Air Force for Space, and other senior leaders from SMC, Air Force Space Command, Air Force Research Lab, and Operationally Responsive Space. A panel discussion facilitated by Dr. Wanda Austin, The Aerospace Corporation p resident and CEO, will focus on "Architectural Futures: Competing and/or Complementary Choices?" Brig. Gen. John Hyten, director, Space Acquisition, Office of the Under Secretary of the Air Force, is scheduled to be the keynote speaker at the conference dinner, April 7. An optional golf tournament will be held in conjunction with Industry Days at Skylinks Golf Course in Long Beach, April 8.

Registration for industry representatives is $345 in advance, $365 after March 24 and $390 at the door. For military and government employees, registration is $170 in advance, $185 after March 24 and $200 at the door. Registration fees cover all conference sessions, a welcome reception on April 6, and lunch and dinner on April 7.
