Registration Now Open for SMC Industry Days Published April 15, 2011 By SMC LOS ANGELES AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- Registration is now open for SMC Industry Days at the Long Beach Marriott, May 10-12. This is an annual event where industry is invited to learn about current and upcoming plans and programs at the Space and Missile Systems Center. This event focuses on business opportunities in military space programs and information of interest for the 400 plus aerospace professionals representing more than 130 companies in attendance. This year's theme is "More with no More" - Creating and Maintaining National Security Space Capabilities with Razor Focus on Mission Assurance AND Efficiency. Scheduled speakers include Lt. Gen. Tom Sheridan, SMC commander and other senior leaders from SMC, Air Force Space Command, Air Force Research Lab, and Operationally Responsive Space. A panel discussion facilitated by Dr. Wanda Austin, CEO of The Aerospace Corporation, will focus on "More With No More-An Industry Perspective" and Brig Gen (S) Tom Gould, 14th Air Force Vice Commander is scheduled to be the keynote speaker at the conference dinner on May 11. An optional golf tournament will be held in conjunction with Industry Days at Skylinks Golf Course in Long Beach, May 12. Registration for industry representatives is $340 in advance (April 26 deadline); the price will increase to $370 on April 27 and will be $400 at the door. For military and government employees, registration is $170 in advance, $200 on and after April 27 and $230 at the door.
