SMC Acquisition and Financial Support Contracts Awarded Published May 16, 2013 LOS ANGELES AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- U.S. Air Force Space Command's Space and Missile Systems Center awarded two Indefinite-Delivery Indefinite-Quantity contracts for SMC Acquisition and Financial Support, May 13. BTAS Inc., headquartered in Beavercreek, Ohio, and MCR Federal, LLC., headquartered in McLean, Va., were each awarded IDIQ contracts and a task order in the amount of $5,000. SAFS provides services supporting SMC's space development and acquisition mission. This support consists of financial management; earned value management; schedule analysis; cost estimating, research and analysis; acquisition planning and reports; budget analysis; administration; manpower, personnel and training; configuration management; and data management. This contract award signifies a shift in service procurement from multiple-award blanket purchase agreements to multiple-award IDIQ agreements. Transition from the existing service contracts will continue over the next 12 months.
